Dr Xin-yue Zhang is an Assistant Professor of the Climate Change Lab, Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development in Agriculture (IEDA), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). She holds a PhD in Natural Geography from College of Urban and Environmental Sciences, Peking University. Her research interests involve the investigation of below-ground ecological processes and how these processes respond to climate change, with the focus on carbon and nitrogen cycling. Her aim is to reveal the mechanism of below-ground processes responses to climate change by gathering evidence from meta-analysis and manipulated experiments. With the goal of making the findings of her research relevant to support national mitigation and adaptation, she has been actively involved in research projects that aim to bridge agro-ecosystems and climate change.
