Han Meng

Dr. MENG Han serves as the China Representative of UNEP-WCMC since 2015. Han leads UNEP-WCMC’s regionalisation strategy and its implementation in and with China. Han’s role contributes to UNEP-WCMC’s broader mandate to strengthen UN Environment’s strategic presence and biodiversity capabilities in China and Asia-Pacific, through leveraging UNEP-WCMC’s expertise and resources. Han works closely with UN Environment’s China Office and its other relevant regional/country offices and divisions to deliver more effective support to national and regional governments and other stakeholders. Prior to her current role, Han held technical position at IUCN UK office, leading the climate change vulnerability assessment work for Tanzania, and worked with UNEP-WCMC’s Science Programme, focusing on protected area effectiveness assessment and conservation portfolio development for West Africa. Han graduated from the University of Cambridge, PhD. 

 

孟菡博士 – 中国事务代表:孟菡博士从2015年起担任联合国环境署世界保护监测中心的中国事务代表,领导中心的中国区域策略制定及实施。通过有效调用中心的专业知识和资源,她致力于帮助加强联合国环境署在中国和亚太地区的战略地位,并且提高其与生物多样性相关的专业能力。孟菡与联合国环境署驻华代表处以及其他相关区域/国家代表处和部门紧密合作,为各相关国家和区域政府以及其他利益相关方提供更有效的支持。在此之前,孟菡曾在IUCN英国办公室供职,主管坦桑尼亚的气候变化脆弱性评估工作,以及在UNEP-WCMC的科学处推进保护区管理有效性以及西非环保状况分析等研究。孟菡毕业于剑桥大学,博士学位。
