Barbara Adolph

Principal Researcher, International Institute for Environment and Development – London, UK

Barbara works on various dimensions of sustainable agriculture and food systems, including sustainable and agroecological intensification, farmer-led agricultural innovation systems, and trade-offs between food production and environmental sustainability.

Before joining the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) she worked as a senior consultant in Triple Line Consulting Ltd, as a senior scientist at the Natural Resources Institute, and as a research fellow at the University of Hohenheim, Germany and ICRISAT, India.

She has a PhD from Hohenheim University, Germany, as well as an MBA from the Open University, UK and an MSc Geography from the University of Bonn, Germany.
